Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) material is a thermoplastic engineering plastic with a molecular weight of more than 2.5 million. Compared with ordinary polyethylene, due to its huge molecular weight, it has the following special properties.
Excellent abrasion resistance: UHMWPE material has extraordinary abrasion resistance. Under certain conditions, its wear resistance is 7 times that of carbon steel, 27 times that of brass, 5 times that of nylon 66 and polytetrachloroethylene, and 10 times that of rigid PVC.
Excellent impact resistance: UHMWPE material not only has good wear resistance, but also has high impact resistance, and its impact strength is greater than 140 kg/cm.
Good self-lubrication: The friction coefficient of UHMWPE material is 0.07-0.11. After being used as the lining plate of the closing hopper under the coal bunker, basically no sticking and blocking of the silo will occur.
Excellent corrosion resistance: UHMWPE material has excellent corrosion resistance.
