Application of UHMWPE Pads:
UHMWPE(Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) Pads. This material is commonly used for marine and port construction applications, for example:
1.sliding pads on fender panels
2.sliding panels for bridge and pier protection
3.corner protection for offshore structures, berths and other marine facilities
The UHMW PE possesses a low coefficient of friction which provides a smooth sliding surface for the vessel to travel along the fender face. UHMWPE fender panel have many properties like light weight, impact resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, UV resistance, aging resistance, small coefficient of friction. It’s impact strength is 20 times of PVC, 10 times of nylon 66, 8 times of PTFE.
